Pixieset pricing explained (2026): what each plan actually gets you

Every Pixieset gallery plan with monthly and annual prices, what changes between tiers, the hidden costs, and which plan a photographer shooting 20 to 40 weddings a year needs.

Updated October 2026

Pixieset sells its client gallery on 5 plans, from free to unlimited, and the pricing page is simple to read. What it does not show is what those numbers mean for a wedding photographer with 30 galleries to keep online and a few films to host. Prices below are from pixieset.com/pricing on 12 September 2026, in US dollars. Check the page before you buy; plans change without much warning.

The plans

PlanMonthlyBilled annuallyPer yearPhoto storageVideoStore commission
Free$0$0$03 GB30 minutes, HD15%
Basic$10$8 a month$9610 GB1 hour, HD0%
Plus$20$16 a month$192100 GB2 hours, 4K0%
Pro$30$24 a month$2881,000 GB5 hours, 4K0%
Ultimate$50$40 a month$480UnlimitedUnlimited0%

Annual billing is 20% off at every tier. The per-year column is our arithmetic, 12 times the annual per-month figure; Pixieset shows the per-month figure.

What changes between tiers

Storage goes 3, 10, 100, 1,000, unlimited. Each step from Basic up is 10 times the storage for double the price or less, which makes Plus and Pro the efficient plans and Basic the expensive one per gigabyte: $9.60 per gigabyte-year on Basic against $1.92 on Plus and $0.29 on Pro, billed annually.

Video goes 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, 5 hours, unlimited. Free and Basic are HD only; 4K starts on Plus. If you deliver 4K films, Basic is out regardless of storage.

Store commission drops from 15% to zero on any paid plan. Nothing else about the store changes with tier in our notes.

Pixieset also lists a custom domain, branded mobile gallery apps for clients, and RAW upload on higher plans. Which plan unlocks each is not in our verified notes; confirm on the pricing page before you choose a tier for one of them.

The hidden costs

The free-plan commission. 15% on the store. Whether it applies to the sale price or to your markup is not in our notes. On $500 of sales the higher reading is $75, most of a year of Basic.

Extra video hours. $5 a month per hour on top of your plan. Plus with 4 hours is $16 plus $10, or $26 a month billed annually, which is more than Pro at $24 with 5 hours and 10 times the storage. Two extra hours is the point to upgrade instead.

The photo editor add-on is $12 a month.

The Suite. Contracts, invoices and a website are not in the gallery plan. Pixieset’s CRM (Studio Manager) and website builder come in the Suite from $28 a month. If you need contracts, that is the real starting price, not $8.

Unverified terms. Our notes do not record Pixieset’s trial length, refund policy, per-file upload limit, bandwidth or download rules, or a fair-use clause on Ultimate. Ask before you prepay a year.

Which plan for 20 to 40 weddings a year

Start with storage. As a rule of thumb, a finished wedding gallery of 600 to 800 full-resolution JPEGs takes 3 to 6 GB. Call it 5 GB. See how much storage wedding galleries take for the working.

For most photographers in that range, Pro at $288 a year is the plan. It is $96 more than Plus for 10 times the storage and 3 more hours of 4K, and it removes the need to expire galleries on a schedule to stay under the cap. Plus works if you shoot 20 or fewer and take galleries down at 12 months. Ultimate is for studios that keep everything online for good or host long video.

What the free plan is missing

3 GB is less than one wedding gallery at full resolution. 15% commission applies to the store. Video is 30 minutes, HD only. RAW upload is on higher plans, and whether the custom domain and branded apps reach the free plan is not in our notes. The free plan is for testing the client experience with an engagement session, not for delivering a wedding.

Compared with the others

Pixieset vs Pic-Time and Pixieset vs ShootProof put these plans against the two nearest rivals at matching prices. In short: Pixieset is the cheapest of the three at every matching tier and the only one with a 1,000 GB plan under $25, but it charges 15% on the free store where ShootProof charges nothing, and it puts contracts in a separate product where ShootProof bundles them.

Where FOCL fits

We make FOCL, so weigh this section accordingly. FOCL Galleries has 4 plans that meter storage only: 3 GB free, 100 GB for $10 a month or $100 a year, 500 GB for $19 or $190, 2 TB for $39 or $390, with unlimited galleries and couples, no download or bandwidth cap, hours of video on paid plans (3, 10 or 30), and the FOCL wedding-day app on the same subscription. Against Pixieset that is more storage per dollar at every paid tier below unlimited. The free plans are the same size, 3 GB, and only Pixieset’s includes video. FOCL includes custom gallery domains with Studio and Pro. It has no separate website builder, no CRM, no RAW delivery, no branded client apps and no unlimited plan, so if you need any of those, Pixieset is the better fit. The direct comparison is in FOCL vs Pixieset.
