Pixieset alternatives for wedding photographers (2026)

Seven Pixieset alternatives for wedding photographers: Pic-Time, ShootProof, CloudSpot, Zenfolio, SmugMug, PASS and FOCL, with prices near 100 GB as of September 2026.

Updated October 2026

We make FOCL, one of the seven products below, so read this with that in mind. Every price was read from the vendor’s own pricing page or help center on 12 September 2026. Where we could not verify something, we say so.

Why photographers look past Pixieset

Pixieset is a solid product. Three things send wedding photographers looking anyway.

Storage per dollar. Plus is 100 GB for $20 a month, or $16 billed annually. Several products below give you 100 GB for less, or unlimited for about the same.

Video by the hour. 30 minutes on Free, 1 hour on Basic, 2 on Plus, 5 on Pro, unlimited on Ultimate, with extra hours at $5 a month each. A ceremony edit plus a highlight film per wedding uses hours fast.

One specific thing. Zero commission on a free plan, unlimited photos cheaply, or the wedding day handled in the same app.

Know what you give up: a website builder, Studio Manager (CRM with contracts and invoicing, in the Suite from $28 a month), branded client apps, RAW upload on higher plans and email campaigns. FOCL vs Pixieset goes line by line.

Pic-Time

For: studios where prints and albums are a real share of income, with sales automations, an album designer and more than 30 labs.

Near 100 GB: Professional, 100 GB of photos plus 30 GB of video, $21 a month billed annually or $25 monthly. Free is 10 GB of photos and 1 GB of video.

Does that Pixieset does not: sells video storage by the gigabyte, gives clients face and selfie search on Advanced, and migrates your photos and client details in on paid plans.

Lacks: commission-free selling on the plan most people buy. When Pic-Time collects payment it keeps 8% of your markup on Professional (15% on Free and Beginner, 6% on Advanced); collect it yourself on Professional or Advanced and there is none. Custom domains start at Professional. FOCL vs Pic-Time.

ShootProof

For: photographers who sell and want contracts and invoices inside the gallery product.

Near 100 GB: plans switch from photo counts to gigabytes on 23 September 2026 at the same prices. Standard becomes 100 GB of photos and video for $19.99 monthly or $199.99 a year. Free drops from 100 photos to 3 GB.

Does that Pixieset does not: $0 commission on every plan including Free (Pixieset takes 15% on its free plan), contracts and invoicing on every paid plan, download rules with a PIN and a per-visitor limit, and archiving from $2.99 a month.

Lacks: video hosting until the September change, with per-file limits unpublished. You bring your own payment gateway. FOCL vs ShootProof.

CloudSpot

For: solo photographers who want galleries and a studio manager (contracts, invoicing, scheduling) on one bill.

Near 100 GB: Lite, 100 GB, $17 a month; only monthly prices are listed. Free is 5 GB, 3 galleries, JPEG only, downloads capped at 2048px.

Does that Pixieset does not: the full studio suite from $17 a month. Pixieset’s Suite starts at $28.

Lacks: hosted video. It embeds YouTube or Vimeo links; clients download the file from that site. Commission is 15% on Free and Entry, 0% from Lite. A custom domain is not in its plan table. FOCL vs CloudSpot.

Zenfolio

For: photographers who want a website on their own domain from the first dollar.

Near 100 GB: Professional, 150 GB, $23 a month. Basic is 15 GB for $9; Advanced is $40 for unlimited JPEG plus 150 GB of video. No free plan. Annual prices were a first-year promotion when we checked, so we skip them.

Does that Pixieset does not: a custom website, custom domain and your logo on every plan, including the $9 Basic.

Lacks: a store below Professional. We could not verify its commission. Video is capped at 60 minutes and 20 GB per file, HD unless you are on Advanced. FOCL vs Zenfolio.

SmugMug

For: photographers who keep every wedding online for good.

Near 100 GB: no 100 GB tier. Direct is unlimited full-resolution JPEG storage for $20 a month billed annually or $29 monthly. No free plan; 14-day trial.

Does that Pixieset does not: unlimited storage at $20 a month; Pixieset’s Ultimate is $40 billed annually. RAW storage is an add-on, 1 TB for $10 a month.

Lacks: on Direct, selling for profit, watermarks and download sales. Selling needs Portfolio ($23.50 billed annually), and SmugMug keeps 15% of your profit. Client favoriting is Pro only ($37 billed annually). Video is capped at 20 minutes and 3 GB per file, and your original is not kept. FOCL vs SmugMug.

PASS

For: the cheapest gallery with a print store in it. It lives at passgallery.com, not pass.gallery.

Near 100 GB: Standard, 100 GB, $20 a month billed annually or $24 monthly. Starter is 10 GB for $1 a month. The plan cards show no free plan, though the FAQ mentions one.

Does that Pixieset does not: a $1 a month plan with a store and lab integrations in every gallery.

Lacks: any mention of video on its pages, so ask before you rely on it. No logo, domain or watermark below Standard. Starter pays 15% commission; Standard pays 3% where PASS handles payment. FOCL vs PASS.

FOCL

For: wedding photographers who want the day itself handled, not only the delivery.

Near 100 GB: Essentials, 100 GB, $10 a month or $100 a year. Free is 3 GB, photos only, with unlimited galleries and couples. Studio is 500 GB for $19; Pro is 2 TB for $39.

Does that Pixieset does not: the wedding-day app on the same subscription: a timeline where a 5-minute delay cascades through the day, a family photo list worked on your phone, a shot list for the second shooter, a couple portal, and it works with no signal. In the gallery, downloads are never metered, video is measured in hours per plan (3, 10 or 30) up to 30 GB per file, guests search by keyword or selfie, the couple can hide photos from guests, and favorites export as CSV.

Custom gallery domains: included with Studio and Pro. See the custom gallery domains setup guide.

Lacks: a separate website builder, a CRM, RAW upload, and anything above 2 TB. The store uses one lab, WHCC. See FOCL vs Pixieset.
